Jeff Samuel is one of the rare producers whose initial tinkering with music production afforded him instant notoriety. A track from his initial demo was released on Germany’s Lo-Fi Stereo label in the late ‘90s and remixed by none other than Michael Mayer, and other cuts from the demo were subsequently released on Daniel Bell’s 7th City label. Following that success, Jeff sequestered himself in his Seattle studio to perfect tracks that were eventually released on respected electronic music labels like Poker Flat Recordings, Ghostly International, Persona Records, Warp Records and NovaMute. He currently lives in Berlin while jet-setting about the world, performing alongside the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Francois K, Steve Bug and Akufen while producing music and creating sound effects for video games.
